My Favorite Place

This is my favorite place which is not too far from my parents' house... maybe 10 minutes by car? It is close to the tip of a cape and the climate there is almost subtropical. So spring flowers bloom much faster there than in neighboring towns. These field mustard or turnip mustard flowers are all over the place, and the whitish stone shrine gate stands out in the yellow and green carpet. This is the scenery that tells us the arrival of spring earlier than anything else. (This photo was taken at the end of Feb., but these flowers were in full bloom already in late January.)

hi obachan,
this picture looks so serene and peaceful.Wish I could be there. If I got the chance to visit Japan, definitely would be places like this, The rural area where the true origin still exist instead of city area.I watch the show Ando Natsu ,Lunch Queen and Haikei Chichiue-sama and oooh I fell in love with this place. But so expensive to travel there.Almost malaysia ringgit 10.000 minimum per trip.So now maybe just dream about it. haha.
If you planned to visit Malaysia Kuala Lumpur or Penang let me know. Accommodation free for you.Serious!

Hi malaysiaelayne,

I REALLY wish you could come here and actually be in this scenery. It is MUCH more beautiful than this photo. The yellow color turned out rather orangish here, but it was more like lemon yellow, and so pretty with the yellowish green of the stems and leaves.

BTW, I AM going to Langkawi, Malaysia this coming April! The schedule is tight and my discount air tickets do not allow me to make any changes, so I may not be able to see you... I wish I could, though.
